SUMMARY:History Tales: Historic Preservation of the Elwha Dams
DESCRIPTION:NOHC Executive Director David Brownell will present on the history of the Elwha Dams and the related artifacts in the NOHC’s collections. Intended to power our communities and industries\, these dams had a significant impact on the lives of community members and our surrounding environment. The NOHC curates artifacts that preserve the history of the dams and the larger story of how these dams impacted life on the peninsula. Artifacts and unpublished photos from the NOHC’s collections documenting the history of the dams will be available for viewing and discussion.

DESCRIPTION:Join David Brownell\, Executive Director of North Olympic History Center\, and Lexi Wagor\, the Land Trust’s Community Relations Manager\, to learn more about the history of this beautiful area while exploring the Siebert Creek Conservation Area. \nRSVPs are suggested\, this event is limited to 15 people. \nLearn more about the Siebert Creek Conservation Area here. An approximately 0.5 mile loop meanders through the property with a slight change in elevation.
