Hands on History is an educational program of the North Olympic History Center. Students in 6th through 12th grade choose a subject of Clallam County history to research, write a scholarly paper about, and present at a public event (private and limited in case of pandemic). The best work is awarded scholarships which are held in escrow pending attendance at a post-secondary school. Coaching in research and writing is provided by NOHC volunteers.

The North Olympic History Center Education Committee will decide how to proceed this year by taking the Washington State Governor's rules and local COVID data into consideration. Stay tuned for details about the future of the Hands on History Program.
